54 Sings Lerner & Loewe
May 19, 2026
Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick “Fritz” Loewe were one of the most successful composer-lyricist teams during the golden age of the Broadway musical. Their greatest success was My Fair Lady, adapted from G.B. Shaw’s Pygmalion, which opened on March 15, 1956 with a score that featured such now-classic songs as “I Could Have Danced all Night,” “On the Street Where You Live,” and “I’ve Grown Accustomed to Her Face.”
Join us at 54 Below as we celebrate this masterpiece in the 60th anniversary year of its Broadway premiere, in an evening that will also embrace songs from the team’s great scores for Brigadoon, Paint Your Wagon, Gigi, and Camelot, along with some rarities from their other theater and film collaborations. Produced and directed by Michael Portantiere, with Michael Lavine as musical director/pianist, our show will have a cast of Broadway veterans performing alongside talented newcomers.
