For Us, By Us: A Kwanzaa Celebration

Celebrate Black excellence, comedy, and chaos at For Us, By Us—a soulful and satirical cabaret cookout unlike anything else on stage. Created and directed in honor of Kwanzaa by 19-year-old performer and theatre artist Quincy Adair, this raucous ensemble concert reclaims the Broadway stage through iconic solos, duets, and full-blown group numbers ranging from Dreamgirls, The Wiz, and The Color Purple, to satirical parodies of Disney favorites and viral musical theatre moments. Expect powerhouse vocals, Black boy band heartbreak, Snow White twerking, and a white guest performer who really shouldn’t be there. Featuring a cast of bold, brilliant Black performers—and a few questionable allies—this is not your grandma’s cabaret (unless your grandma knows how to twerk). With just a dash of gospel and a whole lot of heart, For Us, By Us blends soul, camp, and cultural commentary into a 70-minute joyride you don’t want to miss.
