In her new show, Broadway Baby- From Manhasset to Manhattan & Beyond, Melissa Errico (My Fair Lady, High Society, Dracula, White Christmas) sets her own life to the Broadway songs that she has sung and owned — and offers both a sensational set of beloved standards and a series of witty and sometimes wicked stories about an ingenue’s life passed on the Great White Way. Rapidly becoming as well-known as a New York Times author as an actress, Melissa combines her two gifts to offer a show that is full of fierce song and funny stories, too, making the evening, as one critic has said, like experiencing the “Nora Ephron rom-com version of ‘Sex in the City.” A sexy, sublime study of American songs, ranging from Cole Porter to Harold Arlen, Lerner & Loewe to Taylor Swift… with a substantial peek at Melissa’s upcoming Sondheim album, Sondheim In The City, due in early 2024 with songs like “Everybody Says Don’t,” “Take Me To The World,” and “Being Alive.”

★★★★★ / A perfect night out, Broadway Baby combines all the best from musical theatre and underground jazz…from cheeky and playful (Sondheim, Marc Shaiman, Rodgers & Hart), it goes to lyrical and sentimental (Michel Legrand, Johnny Mercer), and back. As Melissa says jokingly, her show is like an Italian stew: she puts in it the best she’s got. And the audience agrees with her, fully charmed with her voice and eager to hear more.
