ACTOR THERAPY is back at Feinstein’s/54 Below singing the beloved score of HAIR: The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical, with lyrics by Jerome Ragni & James Rado, and music by Galt MacDermot. HAIR celebrates the 60s hippie counterculture (in all its long-haired, bell-bottomed, barefoot, beaded, and fringed glory) while remaining relevant and daring as ever, as it examines what it means to be a young person in a changing world. With an infectiously energetic rock beat, the score includes a number of beloved songs like “Aquarius,” “Good Morning, Starshine,” “I Got Life,” and “Let The Sun Shine.” Directed by AT’s Director of Events Mathieu Whitman (Spring Awakening in Concert) alongside award-winning composer-lyricist Ryan Scott Oliver (Three Points of Contact, 35MM, Darling), the show will feature a number of fabulous ACTOR THERAPY students/alumni performing alongside a 4-piece band. Created by Ryan Scott Oliver with Tony Award®-winning Broadway actress Lindsay Mendez (Carousel, Significant Other, Wicked), ACTOR THERAPY is a musical theatre training program for performers looking to improve their auditions, build a better book, and expand their understanding of what it means to be a song interpreter and storyteller in NYC.
