A Nonprofit Cabaret Venue

A man wearing glasses and a brown flat cap is playing a violin, much like Benjamin Sutin. Focused on the music, he's immersed in his performance. The background is blurred with warm lighting, suggesting an intimate setting. Clad in a white shirt, the scene conveys concentration and artistry.

Hailing from Philadelphia where he studied with jazz violin legend John Blake Jr, violinist Benjamin Sutin won 3rd prize in the 5th edition of the Zbigniew Seifert International Jazz Violin Competition in 2022. Inspired by music ranging from jazz, latin jazz, rock and klezmer, Sutin now has 4 albums under his name as a leader, garnering high praise from the likes of Downbeat, Regina Carter, Sara Caswell, David Krakauer and others. As a member of Bobby Sanabria’s Multiverse Big Band, Benjamin has played on 2 Grammy nominated albums, West Side Story Reimagined and Vox Humana. Sutin graduated from Manhattan School of Music in 2015 with a B.M. in Jazz Violin Performance where he is now on faculty in their Pre-College Jazz Division and has a Masters degree in Multi-Style String Performance at New Jersey City University.  He has performed in venues such as Carnegie Hall, NJPAC, Lincoln Center, BAM, The Apollo Theater, Birdland Jazz Club, Sony Hall, Kings Theater, and The Kennedy Center.
