Favorite regional theatres include: Barrington Stage Co, Sacramento Music Circus, Center Stage (Baltimore), George Street Playhouse, Goodspeed, North Shore Music Theatre, Coconut Grove Playhouse, Repertory Theatre of St. Louis, Studio Theatre (D.C.), Cincinnati Playhouse, The MUNY, and the Asolo. Cabarets and Concerts include: Donna McKechnie, Roslyn Kind. Marin Mazzie, Kaye Ballard, Karen Mason, Jeff McCarthy, Elizabeth Stanley, Vicky Clarke, Marni Nixon, Debby Boone, and Malcolm Gets, to just name a few. Darren was also the musical director for the National Assoc. Olympic Committee (NBC TV) at Constitution Hall. He is the author of The Complete Professional Audition (published by Random House) and is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and the Vermont College of Fine Arts.
