Hernan Romero

Hernan Romero was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The son of the legendary Lifetime Grammy Award winner Estela Raval, he was surrounded by the finest musical influences from an early age. This foundation paved the way for collaborations with some of the world’s most celebrated artists, including Alicia Keys on the song, “Rear View Mirror” from the Dr. Dolittle soundtrack, as well as guitar legends Al Di Meola, Paco De Lucia, and John McLaughlin.
In 1990, Romero co-produced and played on the iconic Di Meola Plays Piazzolla, marking the beginning of a fruitful partnership with Di Meola that resulted in eleven stunning albums, including Orange and Blue (1994) and The Infinite Desire (Telarc, 1998). His own captivating music has emerged through a series of CDs since the late 1990s, including Zonda (Palmetto, 1999) by Conosur—the ensemble he founded—which showcases his fiery guitar work and sensual compositions infused with Latin and flamenco influences.
Romero continues to inspire and enchant audiences worldwide with his vibrant and exhilarating sound.
