Chinese-born pianist Huizi Zhan is an active performer of solo and chamber music in the US and abroad. She embraces a wide range of repertoire and styles, particularly interested in 21st century music. Her solo performances include a recent recital that encompassed the premier of several compositions, at Carnegie Hall, National Sawdust, The DiMenna Center for Classica Music, Opera Center America in New York and Esplanade – Theaters on the bay in Singapore. She is a numerous prize winner, including Piano “Steinway Cup” Piano Competition of China. She is a graduate of University of Michigan, Ann Arbor and holds a doctoral degree in Piano Performance at Florida University College of Music.
