Sue Matsuki
Sue Matsuki is a multi-award winning singer/songwriter, producer, teacher, columnist and the co-author (with David Sabella) of So You Want to Sing Cabaret. She is a Bistro Award winner for Outstanding Collaboration with her Musical Director, Gregory Toroian; she was the very first recipient of the Julie Wilson Award; and she is a 3-time MAC Award Winner for Jazz Vocalist, Jazz Duo and Songwriter. With mentors like: Trudi Mann, Jan Wallman, Julie Wilson and Marilyn Maye, Ms. Matsuki knows how to entertain because she learned from the best!
Ms. Matsuki has played every NYC Cabaret room from Feinstein’s at the Regency to Birdland to the legendary Village Gate to The Iridium and has even played Carnegie Hall! She also worked at a “Diva Double” at the Metropolitan Opera. She has performed fromNew York to Miami to Las Vegas to Alaska to Los Angeles and many places in between!
With over 100 shows ready to perform including her most current, highly praised offerings: 38 Seasons of Love, This Broad’s Way, How’s That for Openers, A Pile of Tunes on the Side of the Piano and her most popular shows: Ella & Me and Jam N’ Toasts, Ms. Matsuki has an impressive 400 songs in her repertoire!
