A Nonprofit Cabaret Venue

The Grand St. Stompers, a jazz band with eight members, poses on a gravel path. Five men in suits hold instruments: a banjo, upright bass, clarinet, trumpet, and guitar. Two women in dresses and headpieces stand smiling. All are in vintage attire, with trees and buildings in the background.

The Grand St. Stompers, called “a pillar of New York’s hot jazz scene” by The New York Times, revive and refresh the music of 1920s New Orleans and beyond to the delight of listeners and dancers. Led by trumpeter Gordon Au, called “comfortable in any idiom and fearless,” they also present vintage jazz versions of classical, Disney, TV, film, and pop themes, as well as their own originals.
