A Nonprofit Cabaret Venue

Wayne Conley, born in New York and raised in Harlem and New Jersey, first discovered his flair with words while taking Creative Writing courses in junior high and high school. At the urging of his teachers, he continued to pursue his love for the written word while attending the University of Maryland College Park, where he majored in English. After leaving Maryland, Wayne was off to Hollywood to pursue a career as a TV writer. His first break came when he was staffed on Nickelodeon’s “Kenan & Kel.” Since then, he has amassed TV writing and producing credits in various genres, including children’s shows “All That,” “The Nick Cannon Show,” and “Austin & Ally,” dramas “Greenleaf,” “Delilah” and “Queen Sugar,” for OWN and comedies “White Famous” for Showtime and “The Best Man: The Final Chapters” for The Peacock.
