Will Buck is a New York-based composer, lyricist, and pianist. His musical ONLY ANNE (book and lyrics by John Dietrich) was featured in Goodspeed Opera House’s Festival of New Musicals in January 2016, and his short piece, FRANKLIN PIERCE: DRAGON SLAYER (written with Preston Max Allen), was featured in the 2017 Sound Bites Festival and 2018’s City Theatre Summer Shorts, where it was a finalist for the National Award for Short Playwriting. Will is an alum of the NYU Musical Theatre Graduate Writing Program, Northwestern University, and a current member of the BMI Workshop, where he received the Harrington Award for Outstanding Artistic Achievement. Other writing credits include: LEARNING TO PLAY, JOIN THE CLUB (with Lauren Taslitz and Leighanna Reichenbach), TOYBOX (with Teresa Lotz), GO (with Cory Conley), and the upcoming LARRY AND LARRY AND ME (with Deb Poppel), and POWERLESS. His work has been featured in performances at 54 Below, Joe’s Pub, The Duplex, and Don’t Tell Mama. Will is a proud member of ASCAP and the Dramatist’s Guild.
