Jerome Kern was one of the most important American theatre composers of the 20th Century. On March 22, 2027, 54 Below will be celebrating Kern’s work with some of Broadway’s biggest stars and featuring 54 Below mainstay Michael Lavine as host and musical director.
Kern wrote the music to beloved Broadway musicals like Show Boat, Roberta, and The Cat and the Fiddle, and films like Swing Time, You Were Never Lovelier, and Cover Girl. He worked with lyricists as varied as Oscar Hammerstein II, Johnny Mercer and Dorothy Fields! Join us to hear songs like “All the Things You Are,” “Smoke Gets in Your Eyes,” “Long Ago and Far Away,” as well as “Can’t Help Lovin’ Dat Man,” “Ol’ Man River” and “Make Believe,” sung by an all-star cast to be announced.
