54 Below

A Nonprofit Cabaret Venue

To commemorate its 40th anniversary, Feinstein’s/54 Below is bringing back, for one night only, the acclaimed Tony nominated musical Working, featuring new songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as favorites by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia, Micki Grant, Mary Rodgers, Susan Birkenhead, Michele Brourman, and James Taylor.

Based on Studs Terkel‘s best-selling book of interviews with American workers, Working paints a vivid portrait of the men and women that the world so often takes for granted: the schoolteacher, the phone operator, the waitress, the millworker, the mason, and the housewife, just to name a few.

The eclectic score features such songs as “It’s an Art,” “Lovin’ Al,” “Just A Housewife,”  and “If I Could’ve Been.”
