“Andrea Marcovicci has an incandescent enthusiasm and a masterly balance between poignancy and wit.” – Stephen Holden, The New York Times
Andrea Marcovicci, “torch singer, spellbinder, heart-breaker”, (People) is back at Feinstein’s/54 Below this fall! Come experience a bouquet of love songs by one of America’s most beloved collaborations – the brothers Gershwin. A departure from Marcovicci’s usual songbook series, this show will focus on the delight of romance found within the music of George Gershwin and the lyrics of his brother, Ira. Selections will also embrace the passionate rhythm of Edna St. Vincent Millay, Dorothy Parker, Ogden Nash, and other poets, and the warmth of a lover’s eyes when enchanted by “requited” love.
The song list will include rediscovered gems and perennial favorites like “Boy Wanted”, “Embraceable You,” “Someone To Watch Over Me”, and “The Man I Love”… performed in the way that only Ms. Marcovicci can.
Actress and singer, Golden Globe nominee, Andrea Marcovicci, has costarred with Tom Selleck, Danny DeVito, Woody Allen, Sir Michael Caine, and Sam Waterston, among others. She’s appeared on and off-Broadway, most recently at The York Theatre starring in Coco. Andrea has created over thirty-five nightclub acts, sold out Carnegie Hall, and appeared in concert at the White House, and with numerous orchestras. http://marcovicci.com/
