In 2022, 54 Below presented Bernstein on Broadway as a tribute to Leonard Bernstein, one of the greatest and most famous musical figures in American history, including a special celebration of what was then the 65th anniversary of the Broadway opening of Bernstein’s acknowledged masterpiece West Side Story.
Please join us on Sunday, September 26, 2027 as we commemorate on the precise date the 70th anniversary of this immortal musical with a revised and updated version of that program, featuring beloved songs from West Side Story as well as On the Town, Wonderful Town, Candide, and more. Featuring a stellar cast, our show will be directed and hosted by Michael Portantiere, with Matthew Martin Ward as musical director/pianist.
