BeBe Winans Previews Original Music From The Broadway Bound Musical BORN FOR THIS

Six-time Grammy Award winner BeBe Winans will be joined by cast members of BORN FOR THIS as they preview original songs from the Broadway bound musical for the first time in New York City. This intimate evening will be filled with music the Boston Globe says has “heart, verve, and powerhouse vocals.”
Sharing the 54 Below stage with Mr. Winans will be members of the BORN FOR THIS cast including Stephanie Mills (Grammy & American Music Award-winning recording artist), Donald Webber Jr. (Hamilton), Loren Lott (Once On This Island), Kirsten Wyatt (Annie), Nita Whitaker (Ragtime), Liisi LaFontaine (Dreamgirls), and Maddie Shae Baldwin (Bright Star).
BORN FOR THIS follows BeBe Winans, a six-time Grammy Award winner, who along with his sister CeCe, experience genuine culture shock when, as teenagers, they leave the comfort of their home and family in Detroit to join Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker’s Praise The Lord (PTL) Network in North Carolina. When the duo rockets to fame, the seductive lure of celebrity comes knocking. Ultimately, BeBe must reconcile the temptations of stardom and fortune with the things he values most in life.
BORN FOR THIS features original music and lyrics by BeBe Winans with a book written by Charles Randolph-Wright, BeBe Winans, and Lisa D’Amour. The show is Directed by Charles Randolph-Wright and choreographed by Warren Adams. Ron Gillyard and My Destiny Productions are the Broadway producers.
