After a transformative chapter away from the stage, Darwin Del Fabro returns to 54 Below in a powerful and deeply intimate evening honoring the music of Etta James.

With a voice shaped by vulnerability, reinvention, and resilience, Darwin revisits some of Etta’s most iconic love songs and heartbreaking ballads, reimagining them through her own emotional lens. Blending jazz, blues, soul, and personal storytelling, the evening unfolds as a celebration of survival, passion, identity, and the healing power of love snd music.

Known for her rich emotionality and striking vocal interpretations, Darwin brings her own perspective to classics made famous by Etta James while weaving in reflections on love, loss, transformation, and rebirth.

Darwin wrote, produced, and starred in Lili/Darwin, a play she premiered in New York before bringing the production to Italy for a new run. She also appeared in They/Them, the Blumhouse Productions film directed by John Logan, now streaming on Peacock. Since moving to New York, she has appeared in A Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Juneberry Collective, The Feather Doesn’t Fall Far From The Wing at Signature Theatre, and Real at The Tank.

Darwin has released multiple albums, including Be Careful, It’s My Heart, Darwin Del Fabro in Rio, Darwin Del Fabro: Revisiting Jobim, Revisiting Jobim 2, and Darwin Del Fabro: Revisiting Elis Regina, honoring the legendary Brazilian vocalist Elis Regina. In Brazil, she appeared in the original productions of Shrek The Musical, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Wizard of Oz, as well as the acclaimed television series “Ligações Perigosas” and “Novo Mundo.”

Darwin is also the founder of Madalena Productions, a production company developing work across stage, screen, and music.
