“The evening’s brightest new discovery, Eric Yves Garcia, is a handsome young singer and pianist with a genuine star quality.” -Stephen Holden, The New York Times
Don’t miss singer, pianist, Bistro and Margaret Whiting Award winner Eric Yves Garcia as he walks along the hall of his heroes in his brand new show “Keepers of the Keys”. The performance will feature the work of Nat King Cole, Hoagy Carmichael, Hutch, Bobby Short, and Barbara Carroll. Each grappled with forces that might have kept them pinned behind their instrument, unheard. Instead, each used the piano keys to open their futures. They made a room vibrant with color and possibility when all it used to be was noise and smoke. Join us as Eric Yves Garcia celebrates these important artists in song.
Eric Yves Garcia has emerged as one of the most coveted singer/pianist acts on the New York City scene, as well as in London and Paris. Within NYC, Eric has appeared at Carnegie Hall, Town Hall, Symphony Space and Birdland, and enjoyed multiple engagements at Bemelmans Bar and as the headliner of the Valentine’s Day Show at the Cafe Carlyle. His solo show, ‘One Night Standards’, and follow-up, ‘Pour Spirits’, received raves in The New York Times and Wall Street Journal.
