“Just when you thought that Josh Groban and Michael Buble held the patent on amazing voices, along comes Frank Shiner to shatter those preconceived notions.” –The L.A. Examiner
“Frank Shiner sings these songs as if he wrote them. He sings with a maturity and a truth that comes from living and loving deeply and fully.” –NPR
Back by popular demand! Frank Shiner returns to Feinstein’s/54 Below with a brand new show. The concert originally based on his acclaimed debut album, The Real Me, produced by Gary Katz of Steely Dan fame is now updated with new songs and comical stories from Frank’s New York stage and screen career. From his role in the “Broadway-bound” musical, Get Any Guy Through Psychic Mind Control Or Your Money Back to time spent with Garth Brooks… from his role in the David Mamet original play, Revenge of The Space Pandas, to his recurring appearances on One Life to Live and Another World, Frank Shiner has seen it all – and now he is here to sing about it.
The heart of Frank’s concert will feature the most popular songs from his acclaimed debut album, The Real Me, which yielded two Top 5 adult contemporary hits. Expect Frank’s covers of “I Put A Spell On You,” “Bring Him Home,” “Stormy Monday,” and yes, even his unique Ragtime Blues version of Meghan Trainor’s “All About That Bass.”
Frank Shiner tells his personal story through song, including chapters about overcoming illness, adversity, and dreams delayed but not denied. The stories are seamlessly woven around the songs and all backed by an all-star band. The show is fun, moving, and inspirational. It’s a night and a voice you won’t soon forget.
