New Musical: The Funkentine Rapture, starring James Monroe Iglehart & Lillias White

On the eve of the Apollo Theatre’s great Funkfest, The Big Bad Man is set to unleash his Disco Rainbows on the world. The only thing that stands between disco ruination and True Funk is young funkmaster George Preston.
Funkentine Rapture was first developed at TheatreWorks in Palo Alto, and was then presented as part of the National Alliance for Musical Theatre Festival in 2005. The musical has music and lyrics by Lee Summers (From My Hometown, Yo Alice), and book by Lee Summers and Ben Blake.
