“With his romantic and warm voice, Karrant carries songs with an emotional weight that make it seem at times as if he had written them himself.”
Jazz Corner
“Jonathan Karrant works straight out of the American songbook with a level of manly confidence, jazz suave and bonhomie that was patented by Mel Torme himself.”
The Reader Magazine

Jonathan Karrant performs songs from his current album “On and On”, which recently hit #4 in the All About Jazz charts, as well as a collection of some of his favorite jazz standards from the American songbook. His show is seasoned with the music and anecdotes of Cole Porter in anticipation of his soon to be released Cole Porter CD. Jonathan is known for digging deep and singing songs that, while well known, are not the typical standards. He will be accompanied by The John di Martino Trio.

Jonathan Karrant is an Arkansas native who, at age 17, studied at New York’s prestigious William Esper Studio, and was subsequently hired by the famed Metropolitan Opera House to play character roles in their performances. After three years with the Met, Karrant went on to Las Vegas where he met Vince Falcone. Together with Vince, Jonathan’s first CD was produced entitled, “Introducing Jonathan Karrant”. Since then, he has toured the States and Europe, gathering fans and gaining recognition wherever he performs. Jonathan Karrant currently resides in San Diego, CA.
