A theatre singer influenced by the Great American Songbook and a Broadway music director inspired by contemporary pop/rock join together to craft an evening specifically for Feinstein’s/54 Below!

“Charming”, “Extraordinary,” “Captivating,” “Achingly vulnerable and real,”* are some of the words used to describe Michael Zahler (…SPELLING BEE, THE BOY IN THE BATHROOM) and Music Director Will Van Dyke (KINKY BOOTS, WICKED, CHASING THE DAY). In their latest concert, along with Van Dyke’s band, The Whiskey 5, the team will celebrate the golden age with hard-hitting arrangements drawn from the worlds of pop, rock, and folk, and tip their hats to the artists who inspired this musical journey: Mr. Feinstein and the legendary Barbara Cook.

Featuring songs by Arlen, Berlin, Bernstein, Mercer, Schwartz, Fields, Sondheim and more, with material by Leonard Cohen and Teitur, and original work by Van Dyke.

Featuring special guest performer Jenni Barber (Wicked, The Nance) with Tony Winner Karen Ziemba.
