“Myriam Phiro’s voice translates the tones of an era and the emotions that go with it. With the chosen songs, she embodies the perfect re-enactment of a mix between Edith Piaf and Marilyn Monroe; deep, powerful, fun and sexy all at once.” -Miguel Dominguez, NYC Culture & Style Magazine

Myriam Phiro is known on the cabaret scene for her charisma and her powerful renditions of old-time favorites. Now, in her Feinstein’s/54 Below debut, Myriam guides us through the decadent world of Edith Piaf using her timeless songs to retell the life of this iconic performer. Accompanied by a traditional musette band and multi-disciplinary backup singers, Ms. Phiro and the ensemble recreate the brothels, circuses and nightclubs that created the great Piaf we all know. Elements of Piaf’s early life, such as her street performing years, the numerous miracles of her life, her poignant love affairs, and her astonishing career, are some of the topics explored during the show. Songs like “La vie en rose,” “Non, je ne regrette rien,” “Hymne à l’amour,” and “Milord” are performed and acted out by Ms Phiro and the cast. Piaf is revealed like never before: the show leads the audience to discover the woman behind the icon, with sensitivity, humor, poignant scenes, variety, and music.
