“Smart, keenly observed, and hilarious parody of the affectations of various types of music stars, ranging from bubble gum pop to country to rock. If you enjoy music and laughter, see this.” -Hy Bender, Best NYC Comedy

Pop Filter presents the inaugural performance of the music festival that features the hottest bands in the world, with special Broadway guest stars to be announced soon.

Featured in July:

Familiar County

The “International Ambassadors of Country Music,” married sweethearts Dirth & Tina Drinkwater want nothing more than to spread American values to every man, woman, and child all over the world. They are known for their heartland anthems about dirt roads, rain, and plastic party cups. Featuring special guest stars Tally Sessions (School of Rock, Big Fish) & Michael Nathanson (The Knick, The Wolf of Wall Street)

Patricia “Patty Cake” Bakersman, “Nono” Nanette Smith, and Veronica “Vizion Loss” Valdes began as a trio of church-choir soloists. They became one of the best-selling R&B girl groups of the 1990s when they transitioned from singing to the Almighty to singing to the “all-nighty.” Featuring special guest stars Amy Jo Jackson & Jared Loftin (Gigantic)

Destyn & Eli

Since they got their start as co-stars on the Disney Channel series “Double Vision,” teen heartthrobs Eli Porter & Destyn Reign have become tabloid mainstays, as the public has become infatuated with watching Eli & Destyn’s sad decline from the mouse house to the halfway house. Featuring special guest star Josh Daniel (The Book of Mormon)

Adam Blotner and Jenny Pinzari have presented their fictional bands for audiences at FringeNYC, LA Comedy Festival, NY Comedy Week, NY Funny Songs Festival, The Groundlings Theatre, UCB, The PIT, and comedy clubs across the country. Their debut “Positive Feedback EP” was recorded at Happy Madison Studios by Grammy-nominated producer/engineer John Potoker (Phil Collins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, No Doubt).
