Quinn Piper: Songversations
February 19, 2027
Join vocalist and saxophonist, Quinn Piper and pianist Margel Overton in their 54 Below debut with Songversations. Songversations is a well curated evening dedicated to leaving listeners both laughing and affirmed. Come for the warmth of Frankie Beverly’s “Golden Time of Day” and Betty Carter’s “Love Notes.” Stay for the interesting takes on classics such as The Beatles’ “And I Love Her” and Sarah Vaughan’s “Send In The Clowns.” Audiences are encouraged to get in on the Songervation as well. There’ll be plenty of opportunities to sing-along to familiar tunes such as Chaka Khan’s “Tell Me Something Good” and loads of cheeky banter along the way.
Quinn Piper is a SUNY Albany graduate and member of Jazz Philadelphia’s CORE Cooperative where they’ve received mentorship from critically acclaimed bassist Gerald Veasley. Piper has also played the principal role of Sam Cooke in the musical theatre biopic Sam Cooke: Where You Been Baby?.
