A new parody musical, STAR WARS: THE FARCE AWAKENS in concert! Written by Jody Shelton (50 Shades! The Musical, Baby Wants Candy), Tim Sniffen (The Improvised Shakespeare Company, The Second City, Baby Wants Candy), and Chris Grace (50 Shades! The Musical, Upright Citizens Brigade) this brand new parody of the most recent Star Wars film features an all star cast of musical comedians.

Jody Shelton began his career as musical director for the Second City National Touring Company, and performed with renowned musical improv ensemble Baby Wants Candy for fifteen years.  In 2012, he co-wrote the parody 50 Shades! The Musical, which had an extended run at the Elektra Theatre in New York, and has been performed throughout South America, Asia, Europe and North America.  50 Shades! can currently be seen at Bally’s in Las Vegas.  Jody’s latest musical, co-written with Emmy and Peabody winner Peter Gwinn (The Colbert Report) is The Story of a Story (The Untold Story), which opened at the Chopin Theatre in Chicago in October, 2015, and has been nominated for the Best New Work Jeff Award.  Jody has also released three critically acclaimed albums as solo artist, and two more with his band, Daughter & Son.  

Tim Sniffen has written and performed with improvised musical troupe Baby Wants Candy, The Improvised Shakespeare Company, The Second City, and Amsterdam comedy theater Boom Chicago. Recently Tim has written for the The Second City & Chicago Lyric Opera collaboration The Second City’s Guide to the Opera; the world premiere of Death of a Streetcar Named Virginia Woolf playing at Writers Theater in Glencoe, Illinois through July; and most importantly, Realish Housewives: A Parody, currently touring the US.

Chris Grace appeared off-Broadway as Christian Grey in 50 Shades! The Musical Parody, and co-wrote Thrones! The Musical, which was a sell-out show at the 2015 Edinburgh Fringe. He performs comedy in Los Angeles at UCB and The Nerdist School, and has written for McSweeney’s Internet Tendency. TV: Broad City, Adam Ruins Everything, This Is Us, Serious Music. He is originally from Houston, Texas and has attended the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
