THE CALLBACK

SUBMISSIONS:
Contestants must submit an audition video, with headshot and resume, to thecallback@54below.com
Videos should be 2-3 minutes in length, and may be footage of previously recorded performances. Links to online videos are preferred. Auditions will be screened by 54 Below staff and each week, contestants will be notified via email if they are invited to compete.
PRELIMINARIES:
If selected to participate in the prelimary round, contestants will perform one 2-4 minute song on the 54 Below stage. Each performance will be filmed, and one winner will be deemed “Audience Favorite” by audience vote to progress to the semi-finals.
Contestants who do not win in the preliminary round will have one chance at redemption; videos of all preliminary performances will be published on the 54 Below Facebook page within 24 hours of each event and the public will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite contestant. The contestant with the most “likes” on their Youtube video will be deemed the “Wildcard Semi-Finalist” and will also progress to semi-finals.
Preliminaries will take place August 12, 19, and 26; September 16, 23 and 30; and October 14, 21, and 28.
SEMI-FINALS:
At The Callback: Semi-Finals, 6 contestants (3 Audience Favorites and 3 Wildcards) will perform a five minute set in front of a panel of surprise guest judges. The winner will be chosen based on audience vote and will progress to The Final Callback.
Semi-Finals will take place September 9, October 7, and November 11.
FINALS:
Finalists will have ten minutes to perform a mini-cabaret, and the ultimate winner, chosen by a panel of Broadway guest judges, will win their own engagement at 54 Below.
The Final Callback will take place on DECEMBER 2ND, 2013.
