The Musicals of Neil Simon: A Centennial Celebration
June 27, 2027
Four-time Tony®-winning and Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Neil Simon was born on July 4, 1927. In addition to Simon’s iconic plays and screenplays, he penned the librettos for several musicals, including They’re Playing Our Song, The Goodbye Girl, Sweet Charity, and Little Me.
In honor of Simon’s 100th birthday, a group of Broadway stars, including some who appeared in the original productions of these musicals, will gather to celebrate his life and career. The concert will be hosted and produced by Backstage Babble’s Charles Kirsch and musically directed by Michael Lavine.
