The York Theatre, New York’s award winning non-profit theater with a singular focus on musical theater, has a triple anniversary and we’re headed west across 54th Street to celebrate! This year marks our 45th season, 100th Musical in Mufti production and the 10th year of our emerging writer’s program, NEO. Whether you’re a longtime York fan or just discovering us, our concerts this year at 54 Below are an invitation to experience the breadth and range of the York’s longtime love affair with the American Musical. Tonight we present a sampler from our Mainstage Series, including selections from The Golden Apple, Enter Laughing, Closer Than Ever, Yank!, Storyville, and the 9 Stephen Sondheim musicals we’ve done – more than any other theater company in New York City.
