Tony nominee J. Robert Spencer, Brian Charles Rooney, Wayne Duvall, Michael Abbott Jr., Ian Lowe, Rodney Hicks, and Mitchell Jarvis star in a concert presentation of the new folk rock/bluegrass musical comedy, Uncivil.
Rick Kunzi (Book, Music, Lyrics), Justin Zeppa (Book), and Adam Barnosky‘s (Music) original musical comedy returns to NYC after its critically acclaimed run at the 2015 Adirondack Theatre Festival. Previously titled Bayonet of Angst, Uncivil premiered at NYMF in 2014 to rave reviews, and was the winner of four festival awards, including Best Book and Best Ensemble.
Uncivil tells the “somewhat mostly true” story of The Civil War, as told through the eyes of its last surviving veteran, Zebulon Mordecai. With some help from old friends and a vibrant bluegrass-inspired score, the impossibly old codger brings the larger-than-life figures and mythical events of the Ciivl War down to earth in this irreverent musical comedy tour de force.
