David Davila’s VOX POP: In Concert at 54 Below!
The zany, award-winning musical theatre writer from South Texas premieres songs from his upcoming musical, VOX POP: a musical prophecy. David Davila has played sold-out concerts of his work at the Laurie Beechman Theatre, the Triad, the Underground, and The West End Lounge. His shows have been presented at the Intar Theatre and the Davenport Theatre.
In a dystopian world where bees have become mythological creatures, and human slaves must pollinate the crops, a young pollinator’s life is turned upside down when she becomes the center of the Voxist revolution. But is she really the “chosen one” that will fulfill the ancient Vox Pop prophecy?
VOX POP features the songs “Be The Change,” “Closer,” “All Good Things,” “Propaganda,” “Vox Pop,” and others.
