Matte O’Brien and Matt Vinson are New York based music theatre writers whose eclectic style melds an emotional fusion of folk, rock, soul, and Broadway pop. For their Feinstein’s/54 Below concert debut, Matt and Matte bring original songs from two upcoming collaborations: the pop-rock opera CAKE, and an epic-folk adaptation of L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables. The evening also features new arrangements of songs from their musical Peter & I, which previously enjoyed a sold-out Off-Broadway run at the American Theatre of Actors as part of the Araca Project. Top Broadway vocalists accompanied by a power ensemble and live folk-rock band make this a sonic experience not to be missed.
