“His lyrical voice is blunt, funny and forthrightly contemporary.” –The New York Times
Composer, writer, and sometimes actor Dave Malloy arrives at 54 Below this fall with a collection of unique and thrilling songs and stories. Dave wrote the score of and played Pierre in the smash off-Broadway hit Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, for which he received a special 2013 OBIE Award, the Richard Rodgers Award for Musical Theater, and the Off-Broadway Alliance Award for Best New Musical. Dave’s other works include Preludes (Lincoln Center Theater 3), Ghost Quartet (Bushwick Starr, The McKittrick Hotel), and Three Pianos (New York Theater Workshop).
