54 Sings Broadway’s Jukebox Musicals
July 7 & 21, August 4 & 18
Every other Thursday this summer, come experience Broadway’s Jukebox: From ABBA to The Four Seasons & From Elvis to The Beatles!
54 Sings Broadway’s Jukebox Musicals is at the crossroads of Broadway and Top 40 Radio! In recent years, many of our most successful Broadway shows have been “Jukebox Musicals” — shows built around famous hit songs, pop stars and/or famous rock ‘n’ roll songwriters. Those great tunes we all grew up with have taken on new lives and have reached brand new contemporary audiences in blockbuster shows like Mamma Mia! (ABBA), Jersey Boys (Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons), Beautiful (Carole King), 5 Guys Names Moe (music of Louis Jordan), Beatlemania (The Beatles), Movin’ Out (Billy Joel), Motown: The Musical, All Shook Up (Elvis), and a great many more.
Broadway Jukebox mines these audience favorites to provide a sweeping, musical panorama of hit song after hit song, all of which have been featured on Broadway. These classic songs will be performed throughout the Summer, every other Thursday night, by a rotating cast of versatile Broadway and Nightclub stars.
The show will be produced/written/directed/narrated by Scott Siegel, who is the creator/writer/director/host of Broadway by the Year at The Town Hall (now in its 16th critically acclaimed season), Broadway Unplugged (13 years at The Town Hall), The Nightlife Awards (13 years at The Town Hall) Broadway’s Rising Stars (9 years at The Town Hall), and producer/director/writer for Michael Feinstein at Jazz at Lincoln Center (2 years), plus a wide variety of popular and critically acclaimed shows for Feinstein’s/54 Below.
