Songs of Protest
March 29, 2017
Showcasing songs from theater, cabaret, folk, and pop, Songs of Protest celebrates a tradition of using music to raise your voice for those who need it most. From the songs of Berlin nightclubs, to folk and popular music, to the incisive satire of Sondheim and Kander & Ebb – with everything in between – this concert, sung by New York’s finest, reminds us of the power of music to amplify a message at the times when resistance is needed most.
A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to support the American Civil Liberties Union.
