Aaron Blake
June 1, 2018
Aaron Blake, a rising young opera star who recently made his Metopolitan debut in La Traviata with Placido Domingo and has been drawing rave reviews around the country, will now focus his talents on the Great American Songbook and make his very first cabaret appearance at Feinstein’s/54 Below. Touted as “A vocal powerhouse” by the Los Angeles Times and “An exquisitely calibrated, appealingly vulnerable, clear-toned tenor” by the New York Times, Blake’s program will feature songs from Broadway and Hollywood, as well as an occasional aria. This June, the busy tenor will make his NYC opera debut in Angels in America at Lincoln Center and in early January will star in the New York premiere of the new opera Fellow Travelers. His much-anticipated cabaret debut, right on the heels of those two engagements, is something not to be missed.
