A concert version celebrating the score of John Kander & Fred Ebb’s “The Act” returns to NYC.
The songs of the show–which originally played Broadway in 1977 with Liza Minnelli as the lead–take place in a nightclub, so it’s only fitting this one-night-only event will take place in the swankiest nightclub in town!
The cast includes Tony Award winner Cady Huffman, Emmy Award nominee Anna Chlumsky, Tony Award winner Randy Graff, Julia Murney, Karen Mason, Nikka Graff Lanzarone, Stacie Bono, Rachelle Rak (Excluding 4-4 at 11pm), Mamie Parris, Carole J. Bufford, with Elizabeth Ann Berg, Jennifer Malenke, and Will Porter.
Backed by a three-piece swinging band and helmed by director Will Nunziata, an all-star list of Broadway and television’s top talent will sing some of the most joyful and gorgeous songs that Kander & Ebb ever wrote, including “The Money Tree,” “Arthur in the Afternoon,” “City Lights,” “Shine It On,” “Bobo’s,” “It’s the Strangest Thing,” “My Own Space”–and even songs that were cut out of town and will be making their NYC premiere!
Proceeds to benefit The Actors Fund.
