Born out of the lobby of The Flea Theater in 2012, downtown indie-rockster/folksters The Lobbyists have crafted a distinctive harmony-driven style that draws on folk, bluegrass, country, pop, and Americana. Their charismatic live performance has been charming audiences from Rockwood Music Hall and Ars Nova to New York Stage & Film and The Cape Cod Theater Project. For this one-night-only concert event, The Lobbyists perform songs from their upcoming concert play SeaWife, created with playwright Seth Moore and developed by director Liz Carlson, as well as Lobbyists favorites. SeaWife, an epic nautical ghost story with music set at the height of the golden age of American whaling, is slated for production with Naked Angels in New York City in summer 2015.
