Crystal Monee Hall & Marcus Paul James: A Concert Celebrating the Music of Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack
Where is The Love
August 3, 2018
Donny Hathaway and Roberta Flack were two of the brightest Soul/R&B stars in the late 60s/early 70s. Each a virtuoso in their own right, together they created what would go down in history as one of the greatest duet albums ever recorded, Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway.
The Where Is The Love concert takes us on a journey back to when these two burning stars collided and gave birth to timeless hits like “You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling,” “You’ve Got a Friend,” and the all-time favorite “Where Is The Love.”
Summoning these classics will be the stunningly sultry-voiced singer/songwriter/recording artist Crystal Monee Hall (RENT, The Mickey Hart Band) and the velvet tones of singer/songwriter Marcus Paul James (RENT, In the Heights, The Greatest Showman). Together, they guarantee to call forth that “good ole” feeling as we remember these American treasures.
Also joining them onstage will be Shaul Eshet, Mark Stewart, Eli Menezes, and Tom Griffin.
This show is part of Feinstein’s/54 Below’s Summer 2018 concert series: Duo Shows at 54! From partners to siblings to co-stars and beyond, these evenings will celebrate the special collaboration of two artists brought together. Join us as some of today’s greatest performers team up with each other for this unique and exciting series.
