Samantha Joy Pearlman: The Music of Regina Spektor
May 5, 2017
Returning to Feinstein’s/54 Below after her sold-out performance of Duckling/Swan, Samantha Joy Pearlman celebrates the music of Regina Spektor. Summer in the City: The Music of Regina Spektor will feature material spanning her entire body of work, drawn from her studio recordings like Begin to Hope and her most recent release Remember Us to Life—even some of her obscure, unreleased demos. With this concert, Samantha hopes to pay homage to Regina’s quirky, bad-ass, Grammy-Award nominated “brilliant songcraft” (Rolling Stone). Featuring special guests like Hamilton on Broadway’s Anthony Lee Medina, choreographer/dancer Jenn Rose, the Meraki Chamber Players and more to come. Directed by Mia Walker. Musical Direction/Orchestration by Andrew Fox. A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to support the International Refugee Assistance Project.
